Women Startup Summit 2.0

In the digital world, information is within the fingertips has intervened in many lives making a huge impact. With the rise in the gig economy, there was a paradigm shift in this trend. The gig economy has provided a promising dimension of work, offeringthe essential but elusive time, flexibility, and balance between personal and professional life. It is helping them spur their careers on without compromising on personal time, academics, or even recreation. And with the hit of the Covid 19 pandemic, the uncertainty of how gig economy would work successfully was proved positive.

In this context leveraging the possibilities unveiled during this pandemic, Kerala Startup Mission is hosting the Women Startup Summit 2.0 Partnering with Startup India, TiE Kerala and Indian Women Network (IWN) the women wing of Confederation of Indian Industries (CII), on 31st October 2020, from 3pm onwards, virtually, with the theme "Women and Technology".

The Women week will witness Global Startup Pitching, pre-registered National Level Hackathons, Mentoring Sessions, Funding Opportunities etc from 26th Oct - 31st Oct 2020.

“Whyhack - InnovatHER” - is conceived to enable women to break the entry barriers and indulge in the technology entrepreneurship space.

The event is designed for women having affinity towards technology and will be given an opportunity to be part of the community. Selected problem solvers will get an opportunity to either pre-incubate at Kerala Startup Mission (Entrepreneurial track) or avail Internship at Tata Consultancy Services and ICFOSS.

Program Schedule

Investor Cafe is an opportunity for fundraising startups to meet angel investors and VCs. This is organised on the last Wednesdays of every month. Technology Startups with market traction and making revenues can submit applications to get a chance to participate in Investor Cafe.

To keep up with the “new normal”, Investor Cafe is now being organised virtually. Interested startup founders need to prepare a pitch deck based on the guidelines provided in the webpage. The pitch deck should be uploaded along with the online application. Shortlisted startups will be invited to meet the investors.

She Loves Tech is a global organization present in over 30 countries and headquartered in Singapore with a goal is to create a borderless global ecosystem of startups and resources. The virtual competition will have a Country Pitching, virtual bootcamp (online meetups with top tech companies from the tech hubs globally) , semi-finals ( a private demo day open to an internal audience of serious VCs and corporates), finals and conference will be focusing on showcasing content and knowledge from global tech ecosystems and leaders. With International rounds held across the Globe, the competition provides a platform for not only women entrepreneurs, but also startups dedicated to improving the lives of women globally.

She Loves Tech India 2020 will be conducted by Kerala Startup Mission virtually in association with She Loves Tech. The competition is focused on women-led or women-impact businesses.
